LNCOLN, Neb. – The Columbus High golf team were able to outlast 12 schools to take first place in one of the divisions in the Lincoln Classic on Thursday.
CHS golfer Aspen Luebbe led the way for the Discoverers with an 89, good for third in the invite At Pioneers Golf Course. Emily Goc was right behind Luebbe with 90, taking 4th. Ashley Warner shot a 96 for 8th place, Emilee Rotherham took 10th with a 97 and Amber Sanne shot a 100 to finish in the top 15.
CHS shot a 372 as a team to win the ‘Mahoney’ division, outlasting Omaha Westside by three strokes.
Aly Troudt of Kearney won the tournament.
The team will take part in the Norfolk Invite next week.
