Lohse’s Last Second Three Gives Lady Wildcats First State Championship
Tianna Lohse's three at the buzzer gives Hanover their first ever girls state title.

HAYS, KS – It was the only made field goal she had, but it was one that Hanover, Kansas will remember forever. Freshman Tianna Lohse hit a three pointer at the buzzer to give #5 Hanover the state championship victory over #3 Olpe, 50-47.

Macy Doebele fueled the offense with 15 points, while Ashton Jueneman added 12 to give the Lady Wildcats their first girls state title in school history.

Trailing by three entering the final quarter, Hanover outscored Olpe, 16-10, in the fourth to get the win.

The defense for Hanover forced 15 Lady Eagle turnovers in the contest, which allowed them to come out on top despite only shooting 36.6% from the floor.

Head Coach Chris Beikmann called the victory “a dream come true.”

They end their historic year at 24-2.
