Scotus Falls to Pierce 63-32

PIERCE, Neb. – For the first time in a long while the Scotus Shamrocks are 0-3.

Pierce took down Scotus 63-32 at home on Friday night.

The Bluejays were dominant on the ground, running for 439 yards total with Colin Tinker leading all backs with 189 yards and three touchdowns. Carson Oestrich ran for 96 yards and two touchdowns.

Pierce quarterback Dalton Freeman was solid in the game, going 3/4 for 80 yards passing, and ran the ball 10 time for 100 yards.

Scotus did tie the game at 7-7 in the first quarter but that’s as close as they got with Pierce breaking away from there, going up 35-10 at halftime.

The Shamrocks ran for 293 yards on the ground, with no one player running for over 100 yards. QB Tyler Palmer threw 5 for 15 with 106 yards and two interceptions.

Scotus will host #1 Aquinas next week, that game will be broadcasted live on News Channel Nebraska – Columbus.
