Bonnie G. Aevermann

Funeral services for Bonnie Aevermann, 90, of Norfolk will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday, July 31, 2014 at Our Savior Lutheran Church, Norfolk with Reverend Frank Brink officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Wayne. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. at Home for Funerals, Norfolk, Nebraska.

Mrs. Aevermann died Monday, July 28, 2014 at the Golden Living Center.

Bonnadell G. Aevermann was born the daughter of Leslie and Gladys (Jones) Phillips on the family farm southeast of Belden on October 16, 1923. She was baptized at the Presbyterian Church at Laurel. She attended rural school and graduated from Wayne High School in 1942. She worked for Ben Franklin Store and Safeway in Wayne.

Bonnie married Harvey Aevermann on March 20, 1944 at Winside and made their home farming until December 1967 when they moved to Norfolk. She was then employed at Hennigson's for a year and worked at the Norfolk Regional Center for 21 years retiring in 1985.

Bonnie is survived by her daughter Sandra and Lon Jochens, of Columbus, and one son, Harlan Aevermann, of Norfolk, two granddaughters and their husbands-Lori and Shaun Penne, of Columbus, and Pamela and Dustin Sutton, of Columbus, and two great granddaughters, Ashley Penne, of Omaha, Riley Kohles of Columbus, and one great grandson Ethan Sutton of Columbus.

She was preceded in death by her husband, three sisters, Elizabeth Jacobsen, Winifred Craft, and Ilene Liebsack, and three sister in-laws, Irene Geewe, Etlien Brudigan and LaVern Brudigan.
