Dolores F. Deitloff
Funeral services for Dolores F. Deitloff, 89, of Norfolk will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, April 17, 2014 at Christ Lutheran Church, Norfolk with Reverend Chip Winter officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, south of Creston with Reverend Brad Birtell officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at Christ Lutheran Church.

Mrs. Deitloff died Monday, April 14, 2014 at the Golden Living Center, Norfolk.
Dolores was born September 27, 1924 at Creston the daughter of Walter and Erna (Muhle) Engelbart. She attended grade schools at Creston, Lindsay and Leigh and two years of High school in Leigh and then graduated from Liberty Consolidated High School East of Madison in 1942.
She was confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church.
Dolores married Melvin Johannes March 14, 1945 and they farmed north of Columbus, Platte Center, Humphrey, and Leigh. When he passed away April 9, 1971 she moved into Leigh where she and her children were members of Zion Lutheran Church. She worked at Dale Electronic s in Columbus and the Mad House Market in Leigh. She was a member of American Legion Auxiliary of Buena Vista County, Colorado and then later transferred to Norfolk.
In 1974 she married Norbert Deitloff in Omaha. She was then employed at Norfolk Nursing Home for one year and then at Sherwood Medical over eleven years. She then retired and enjoyed her many beautiful flowers which had been her hobby for many years. She loved to go dancing and enjoyed camping, fishing and traveling.
Dolores is survived by her husband Norbert Deitloff of Norfolk, three daughters Nancy (Merlin) Siefken of West Des Moines, IA, Lorrie (Paul) Cada of Schuyler, Genise (Jay) Spittler of Norfolk, one son, Marlin (Judy) Johannes of Columbus, and her daughter in-law Bonnie Fairburn of Deer Park, WA, one sister Verona Moeller of Columbus, three stepsons, Ronald Deitloff, Russell Deitloff, and David Deitloff, two stepdaughters Sherry Konicek and Debra Steffensmeier, 11 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and 10 step grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Melvin Johannes, one son Vernon Johannes, and two grandsons.
