Carol L. Schulz
Funeral services for Carol L. Schulz, 78, of Madison will be at 10:30 a.m., Friday, January 17, 2014 at Trinity United Methodist Church, Madison. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery, Norfolk. Visitation will be Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at Resseguie Funeral Home, Madison.
Carol died Sunday, January 12, 2014 at Faith Regional Health Services.
Carol was born November 11, 1935 to Wiley and Mildred (Dittberner) Warden at Madison. She grew up near Enola and graduated from Madison High School.
On June 4, 1953 Carol and Harlan Schulz were married at Madison. They farmed near Madison, raising crops, livestock and operated dairy which Carol was very proud of. Carol and Harlan lived on the farm until December of 2006 when they moved to Battle Creek. Carol most recently was living with her daughter Julie in Fremont.
Carol loved to cook, bake and sew. When her children were involved in 4H she took great pride in all of their projects and was always there to help if needed. Carol enjoyed attending all the area county fairs.
Carol and Harlan were members of Fairview Methodist Church West of Madison, after it closed the attended Trinity United Methodist Church, in Madison.
Carol is survived by her 6 children Steve and Deb Schulz of Madison, Debbie and Otto Gerber of St. Paul, NE, Robert and Kwanta Schulz of Norfolk, Julie Huismann of Fremont, Randall and Sonia Schulz of Omaha and Perry Schulz of Norfolk, 7 grandchildren, Jeremiah, Caleb and Emily Schulz, Tim Huismann, Danielle Gerber, Angela Alberts, Michelle Bennett, 3 great-grandchildren, Nathaniel, Jonathan and Elijah Alberts, 2 sisters Virginia and Ron Barritt of Norfolk and Janet and Frank Bollwitt of Fergus Falls, MN.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, husband Harlan on July 20, 2007 and a brother Clifford Warden.
