Private family services for Cleone Ida Mae (Pennington) Deitloff, 83, of Norfolk were held Thursday, May 15, 2014 at Christ Lutheran Church in Norfolk: Reverend Leon Rosenthal officiated. Burial was in Prospect Hill Cemetery.
She went to be with her Lord on Monday, May 12, 2014 at the Heritage of Bel-Air in Norfolk.
Cleone Ida Mae (Pennington) Deitloff, daughter of Eddie Ray and Clara Marie Louise (Kiepke) Pennington, was born October 29, 1930 at Norfolk. She attended grade school at Christ Lutheran School and high school at Norfolk Junior and Senior High School. She was a Bell Telephone Switchboard Operator and Sisters Hospital Switchboard Operator. Throughout her life she loved listening to polka music, dancing with her Husband - Ervin, watching Johnny Carson, playing card games with the Grand Children, crafts, reading magazines, cookbooks, recipes, cooking and baking.
Cleone was a loving Mom, Grandma, and Great Grandma. She volunteered for many activities at Christ Lutheran Church throughout the years and a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by four children, Peggy Sellin (Dr. Mark Doherty - Fiancée) of Pryor OK, Kelly (Joe) Kenny of Carroll, Frederick (Doris) Dederman III of Norfolk, and Kristi Bish of Norfolk; twelve grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Darel Pennington of Sioux City and Dean Pennington of Norfolk.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ervin and two sons, Layne Dederman and Max Dederman.
