Sam died at his home on April 20, 2014.
He was born on July 15, 1987, in Anchorage, AK, the son of Samuel K. and Teresa J (Ahmann) Treat. Because his parents were in the US Air Force, Sam was raised in Germany, England, Missouri, California and Colorado. After his schooling, Sam lived in Missouri before moving to Norfolk in 2008.
Sam was a finish carpenter for Wacker Home Improvement. He also worked at the Road Runner Travel Mart.
He enjoyed working with his hands, especially on his motorcycle. He liked to grow flowers and vegetables, hunting, fishing and cooking. He loved creating dishes and smoking meats jerky and anything that would fit into his smoker. However, his passion was for his girls.
Sam is survived by two daughters, Mia and Cora, both of Norfolk; his parents, Samuel K. and Christine Treat, of Aurora, CO, and T.J. and Mark Stark, of Eldon, MO; his sisters and brother: Sarita Thacker, of Jefferson City, MO, Delaynie Treat, of Aurora, CO, Clayton Melville, of Springfield, MO, and Teresa Melville, of Ohio; his grandparents: Samuel and Sarita Treat, of Colorado Springs, CO, Joe and Sonya Ahmann, of Lebanon, MO, Joe and Connie Lehnertz, of Livingston, MT, and Don and Judy Lowery, of Richmond, Virginia.
