Funeral services for Bonnie K. Spinar, 71, of Madison will be at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, May 8, 2014 at St. John Lutheran - Green Garden Church, with Reverend Barry Williams officiating. Burial will be in the St. John Lutheran Green Garden Cemetery.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. at Resseguie Funeral Home.
Bonnie died Friday, May 2, 2014 at her home near Madison.
Bonnie was born October 25, 1942 in Oakland, California the daughter of Edward G. and Erma G. (Preuss) Dittberner. She moved with her family to the farm west of Madison in 1946, attended rural school and graduated from Madison High School in 1960. She married David Coker in 1962 in Omaha. No children were born to this union. In 1984, she married Allen Spinar. She lived in Lincoln and had a long career working for the State of Nebraska Dept. of Public Institutions HHS. In 1990, Bonnie transferred to the DPI-Norfolk Regional Center Trust Office. She then was offered a job in Norfolk at the Social Security Office where she worked until her retirement.
Bonnie loved fishing, bowling, and card playing not to mention conversing with family and friends. She could strike up a conversation with mere strangers, whose names would later end up in her cell phone address book. She loved people and will be greatly missed by all.
Bonnie is survived by one brother Bruce (Bonna) Dittberner of Laredo, MO, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Allen, and one sister Judy.
