Milo Daniel Snyder

Celebration of Life Services for Milo Daniel Snyder, age 80, of Norfolk, formerly of Orchard, will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 2, 2014, at the United Methodist Church in Orchard, Nebraska. Reverend Stuart Davis will officiate, with burial in the Orchard Hill Cemetery in Orchard.

Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the Church.

Honors will be conducted by the United States Army National Guard Honor Team, American Legion Post 136, and Masonic Diamond Lodge 291.

Brockhaus-Howser-Fillmer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Milo died Thursday, July 3, 2014 at his home in Norfolk.

Milo Daniel Snyder, son of Danny and Leitha Darlene (Smith) Snyder, was born on October 20, 1933 in Page, NE. Milo attended Orchard Public School in Orchard, NE. After graduating, he attended one semester of college and then chose to enlist in the Nebraska National Guard from 1951 to 1960. He later was married to his loving wife Patricia Stevens.

While living in Orchard, Milo became District Sales Manager for Carnation Genetics. He attended United Methodist Church and was a member of the Masonic Diamond Lodge #291. Milo was involved in many outside activities as well. He sat on the Town Board, was a volunteer for the Fire Department and a Boy Scout Leader in Orchard. Milo was very loved by his family and friends.

Milo is survived by his wife, Patricia Snyder of Norfolk, NE; daughter, Pamela (Ted) Case of Stanton, NE; sons, ValGene (Jan) Snyder of Jeffersonville, IN; Eric (Kim) Snyder of Lincoln, NE; daughters-in-law, Diane Snyder of Lenexa, KS, Elaine Snyder of West Point, NE; 8 grandchildren; and sister, Marcella "Sally" Kmiecik of Omaha, NE.

Milo is preceded in death by his parents, Danny and Leitha Darlene Snyder; sons, Dr. Dana Snyder and Steve Snyder; grandson, Michael Snyder; and sister, Marvel Lockwood.
