John Fisher

A memorial service for John Fisher, 63, of Norfolk, will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 24, 2014, at the First Baptist Church in Norfolk. Pastor Gordon Braun will officiate.
Mr. Fisher died Wednesday, May 21, 2014, at Faith Regional Health Services.

John was born on May 13, 1951, in Norfolk, the son of Donald and Gertrude "Toy" (Connelly) Fisher. He was raised in Norfolk and graduated from Norfolk Senior High School in 1969. He continued his education at the Norfolk Junior College.

John married Beverly (Beth) Bonsack. They made their home in Norfolk. One son, Zach, was born of this union. They would later divorce.
He enjoyed a 20 year career with Region IV. Before having a Wonder Bread route based out of Norfolk. He serviced the surrounding communities for 14 years.

John married Valerie Stahl and four children were born into this marriage, Ashley, Jeffrey, Sam and Cassie.

After retiring from his bread route, John was employed at the Odd Fellow Manor until his illness prevented him from working.
John enjoyed woodworking, fishing, cooking and grilling.

John is survived by his father, Don; his children and their spouses-Zach and Alisha Fisher, Norfolk, Ashley Bohaty, Omaha, Jeffery Fisher, Sam Fisher and Cassie Fisher, all of Norfolk; seven grandchildren-Shelly Fisher, Tyson Fisher, Ava Fisher, McKenzie Fisher, Madison Coover, Bentley Fisher and Micah Nunez; his siblings-Peg and Dave Eilerts, of Norfolk, Janet and Doug Asmus, Norfolk, Brad and Ann Fisher, Norfolk, Pat Fisher and Reesa Fisher, of Midland, TX.

He was preceded in death by his mother.
