JoAnn R. Glandt
Funeral services for JoAnn R. Glandt, 65, of Norfolk will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 11, 2014 at Christ The Servant Lutheran Church, Norfolk. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, McClean. Visitation will be Friday from 4-8 p.m. at Home for Funerals, Norfolk, Nebraska.
Ms. Glandt died Sunday, January 5, 2014 at Heritage of Bel Air.
JoAnn was born January 12, 1948 in Norfolk the daughter of Arthur and Odella "Norma" (Hanson) Bilau. She was raised on a farm near Osmond and graduated with the class of 1966 at Osmond High School. She then went to work for Dale Electronics in Norfolk. JoAnn married Ronald Glandt on May 20, 1972 in Norfolk. After the birth of her twin daughters she returned to work at Dale Electronics and transferred to Columbus with Vishay Dale Electronics and was still currently employed with them.
JoAnn was a member of the Christ The Servant Church and sang in their choir. JoAnn loved to garden and plant flowers. She regularly attended the local farmers market and asked the vendors to set the best aside for her. She was famously known for her cooking. She always found the good in people and everyone was a friend. She was very funny and quick with a comeback. She loved spending time with her family and grandkids. She always had a smile.
JoAnn is survived by her two daughters and their families, Tammy and Devin Larson, and their children Ashley, Ally, Magdalena, and Victoria of Ft. Leavenworth, KS, Stacy and Sean Settgast and their children Austin and Wynter, of Ft. Gordon, GA, her mother Norma Bilau of Blair, four brothers, James Bilau of Spring Lake, NC, Allen Bilau of Blair, Leon Bilau of Omaha, Paul Bilau of Lincoln and one sister Kathy Urbina of Carlsbad, CA.
She was preceded in death by her father, Arthur.
