1 Vehicle Totaled in 6th Street Accident

COLUMBUS – A Chevy Malibu was totaled on Monday after being t-boned at that intersection of 6th Street and 21st Avenue.

No injuries were reported in the two vehicle accident, according to reports.

An 2005 Chevy Malibu was heading northbound on 21st Avenue, while 2009 Chevy Malibu was heading westbound on 6th Street, says reports.

The two vehicles entered the intersection at approximately the same time, when the ’09 Malibu contacted the rear passenger side of the ’05 Malibu, causing the sedan to spin 260 degrees, coming to rest partially on a curb.

Reports say the ’05 Malibu was considered a total loss, while the ’09 Malibu suffered approximately $4,000 in damage. The driver of the ’05 Malibu that was heading northbound was cited int he incident, according to CPD reports.

The accident occurred at 6:52 a.m. Tuesday morning, according to police reports.
