Norfolk Man Sentenced to Prison for Robbery; Threats

MADISON – A Norfolk man is headed to prison for robbing a Norfolk residence and threatening a woman in separate incidents.

Thirty-one year old Pierre Evans was sentenced to a total of seven to eleven years in prison in Madison County District Court on Wednesday.

Evans was one of four men that authorities say robbed a group of people at a Norfolk house in December of 2014. The other three had been convicted and sentenced, but Evans evaded custody until this past December.

It was revealed in court that Evans had fled to Chicago, where he was from originally.

Evans was sentenced to 6 to 10 years on the robbery count, then sentenced to another year in prison on terroristic threats for a separate incident where authorities say he threatened a worker at a Norfolk cell phone store.

Evans was given credit for 145 days served in prison.
