FREMONT – A new District 7 Supervisor has been appointed to the Dodge County Board after Gary Osborn stepped down from the seat.
James Vaughan was born and raised in Fremont, and currently lives in the city with his wife Casey and their two children, Benjamin and Everly. He works at Valmont Industries and has been there for ten years. Vaughan worked his way up in the company, starting as a shop floor machine operator to his current position as the Quality Manager for the Engineered Infrastructure Products division.
Vaughan graduated from Fremont High School in 1999, and attended Wayne State College and the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Public service and community involvement have been long traditions in his family, as his great-great-grandfather and uncles served on some of the earlier versions of the Dodge County Board, and were among the first settlers of Dodge County. Vaughan also volunteers as a coach for youth sports teams, and participates in various United Way events with Valmont.
