WAYNE – Wayne Chamber Coffee was hosted by the Wayne Area Economic Development (WAED) Office’s Agribusiness Task Force, Friday morning at the fire hall. Chamber Coffee served as a break during the 10th annual Agricultural Outlook Seminar running from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.
Luke Virgil welcomed the public then introduced WAED’s new Marketing, Events and Tourism Coordinator Abby Schademann, and the members of the Agribusiness Task Force.
Earlier Waynedailynews.com had the opportunity to speak to task force member Ronald Gentrup about the importance of the annual seminar.
“The seminar is kind of a way for the community to pay back the agricultural community, to recognize the farmers for what they do,” Gentrup said.
This year’s ag seminar featured wind energy, climate projections and Wayne Community Schools’ Ag instructor and FFA sponsor Toni Rasmussen.
The next Wayne Chamber Coffee will be held at American Broadband at 303 Logan Street in Wayne on Friday December 8th, at 10 a.m.
