WAYNE – As the Wayne County Fair came to a close on Sunday, the County Board of Commissioners are set to meet Tuesday morning for their regularly scheduled meeting.
Opening the month of August, Commissioners will meet at the County Courthouse meeting room.
Prior to the Commissioners meeting will be the Wayne County Board of Equalization meeting at 9 a.m.
Previously, protest hearings were held in late July and those will look to be approved by the board. Board members will also receive their annual report of the cemetery property ownership and usage.
Moving into the County Commissioners meeting, the board will discuss the health insurance cost savings while also hearing about courthouse security.
Highway Superintendent, Mark Casey will give his road-bridge project updates. The Chairman will then sign the Supplemental Agreement between Wayne County and Felsburg Holt & Ullevig to delineate wetlands for utility relocation needed.
Phil Lorenzen, D.A. Davidson & Co. is expected to talk at 10 a.m. He’ll discuss with the board the consideration/adoption of authorizing not to exceed $470,000 Bond Anticipation Notes. This would be for Series 2017 to fund costs of Rural Road Improvement District 2016-1 (Centennial Road).
The Wayne County Board of Commissioners meeting will then reconvene on Tuesday, August 8 at 9 a.m. for a budget work session. Also, there’ll be a 1 p.m. appointment with NEXTera Energy, Wind Tower discussion.
