NORFOLK, NE — An organization that serves 10 counties in northeast Nebraska has moved down a few blocks to a larger location.
Bright Horizons, which was previously located on 305 N. Fourth Street has moved a few blocks down to 601 E. Norfolk Ave.
The organization provides help and shelter to at least 1,000 adults and kids who escape domestic abuse situations.
Norfolk’s location is one of three in Northeast Nebraska.
Christy Lee, Program Director of the Norfolk office says the they are excited about being able to utilize more space.
“This way we have more private offices so that when folks come in they can all ensure they are in a confidential location without any interruptions. We also have a much larger conference room to hold meetings in and even hopefully hold small groups of training.”
Lee says that they also have more storage where donations can go, such as diapers, wipes, shampoo and other necessities.
There is also a transitional shelter, and a part-time campus advocate who is located at Northeast Community College.
