Budget Talk, Second Reading For Policies To Take Place During School Board Meeting

WAYNE – The Wayne School board will host their first of three meetings with school not in session.

Monday evening at 5 p.m., the Wayne Community Schools Board of Education meeting will take place in the Jr./Sr. High School Library, Room 407.

Half of the board members will meet at 4:30 p.m. to review the financial claims. The budget meeting discussion will take place during the approval of the minutes from the previous meeting.

Under the Superintendent portion of the meeting, Mr. Mark Lenihan will talk more about the updated budget. Among the discussion will be the Nebraska Department of Education School Finance & Organization Services for the 2017/18 State Aid Certification and calculations.

Second readings will take place for Policy 2000’s, 3000’s, 4000’s, 5000’s and 6000’s.

Wayne School Board members will talk about a sound system quote for the Wayne Elementary school. The quote from Midwest Music Center of Norfolk would be for a total cost around $13,000. The quote was updated as of Tuesday, June 6 and is good for 60 days.
