STANTON — Two burglary suspects are in jail after they were found with a stolen car and firearms late last week.
Stanton County Sheriff Mike Unger says 31-year-old Keith Newman and 19-year-old Lakyne Faimon, both of Allen, were arrested in connection to a burglary at a farm residence northeast of Pilger on Thursday. Unger says the two suspects were located on a county road near Pilger with several loaded firearms, a pickup truck and other items that were taken in the burglary. The suspects were also in possession of a 2016 Volkswagen Passat that was stolen from a Norfolk car dealership on Wednesday.
Newman and Faimon are facing multiple felony charges inlacing burglary, possession of stolen vehicles, theft, possession of stolen firearms, resisting arrest and more. Both suspects were out on bond on theft charges in Madison and Adams County prior to Thursday’s arrest. Newman is also a registered sex offender.
