COLUMBUS – A car left the roadway and re-entered it, after hitting both a semi and a parked truck on 23rd Street.
Traffic was slowed for a period of time, after police responded to an accident at 11:10 a.m. on 23rd Street, just west of 10th Avenue.
Police say a Chevy Sedan heading eastbound, in the inside lane, attempted to make a lane change without clearance, when it contacted a semi, in the outside lane.
After hitting the semi, the car left the roadway to the south, entering a parking lot, and colliding with the front driver side of a parked Ford Pickup.
The car then re-enter the roadway, and came to rest in the median where it collided with a traffic sign.
The car was estimated as a total loss, the truck suffered an estimated $4,000 in damage, and the semi suffered a minor $50 in damage. One person involved in the accident reportedly suffered minor injuries, but was not transported by ambulance.
