Child Safety Seat Checkup At Wayne Fire Hall Thursday

WAYNE – Northeast Nebraska Community Action Partnership, Wayne Police Department and Providence Medical Center are sponsoring a child safety seat checkup event at the Wayne fire hall Thursday evening.

Car crashes are the leading cause of child death in the U.S. Making sure children’s safety seats are being used properly, dramatically decreases the chance of injury in the event of a collision.

The child safety seat checkup event is free and open to the public. Parents can have their child safety seats inspected and can receive information on proper installation and use of car seats, booster seats and seat belts.

The event runs from 4-7 p.m. at the fire hall at 510 Tomar Drive in Wayne.
