City Council will hold Three Public Hearings During Regular Meeting

FREMONT – Three public hearings will take place at the Fremont City Council’s Tuesday meeting.

The council will hold a public hearing for the Community Development Block Grant 14-DTR-104 Downtown Revitalization Phase II. The second hearing is in regards to a request to charge the Planning Commission with reconsidering a zoning change from R-1 Single-Family Residential to PD Planned Development for properties referred to as Fremont Memorial Complex.

The final public hearing is in reference to receiving a study and consideration for a Blighted and Substandard designation for properties consisting of an estimated 265 acres located along N. Broad Street from the BNSF viaduct on the south, to the vicinity of County Road S on the north.

Items on the regular agenda include ordinances for amendments to Chapters 10 and 11 of the Fremont Municipal Code, and a resolution to adopt the definition of Disability for Community Development Block Grant 14-CR-003 Fair Housing Action.

Before the council meeting on Tuesday there will be another study session regarding the Unified Development Code at 6 p.m. The City Council meeting will follow at 7 p.m.
