“Commit To Be Fit” Capped Off With Chamber Coffee, Open House

Friday morning Chamber Coffee was held at Careage Campus of Care, located at 811 East 14th Street.

The group concluded a program for their residents and staff, “Commit to be Fit”. A few of the events that took place earlier in the week were a walk around the entire facility and the Rainbow World preschoolers attended for another event.

Director of Careage Campus of Care, JR Moss said October is National Therapy Month and one of the newer programs he is starting is a Veterans group.

“Being in the military myself,” said Moss. “I’ve been passionate about because there’re so many of those folks who have dedicated their lives to service to their country and they deserve the best care.”

Moss is originally from Tennessee and also serves as the Executive Director for the Colonial Manor in Randolph.

Renovations were also highlighted in the facility.

Another event starting soon includes music therapy with a local musical therapist.

One of the best kept secrets about Careage Campus of Care, according to Moss is their outpatient therapy program.

“Particular with that program we focused a lot on orthopedics,” Moss added. “A number of our therapists extensive training in orthopedics and we’ve been really evaluating our outcomes and our trainings and equipment focused in orthopedics.”
