FREMONT – The friends and family of Blake Escamilla, the young Fremont man who was killed in a tragic motorcycle/semi accident on July 20, invite the public to join them in a celebration of Escamilla’s life, to help raise money for the family’s medical and funeral expenses.
The fundraiser will be on Sunday, Aug. 6, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Miller Park in Fremont (S M St.) and it will include food, drinks, various skate sessions and a silent auction. A plate of food will cost $8.
Escamilla’s wife, Anna, was involved in a near-fatal car accident last October that resulted in multiple surgeries and a one-month hospital stay. Anna still has one more needed surgery left and needs help with the medical expenses.
Various items have already been donated for the silent auction: $150 gift card to Punx Tatto and Body Piercing, Weber Harley Davidson grill, two tickets to the Minnesota Vikings preseason game against the Miami Dolphins on Aug. 31 and so much more.
You can find updates regarding the fundraiser on its Facebook page titled “Blake Escamilla Family Fundraiser.”
A YouCaring page has been set up to help the family, which you can find here. As of Monday afternoon, about $7,100 has been raised toward their $100,000 goal. Donations can also be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org through PayPal.
