COLUMBUS, Neb. – The Columbus Public Library will soon have a new director.
Karen Connell will be taking over for director Drew Brookhart, who will be leaving his position at the end of the month to return to Colorado.
Connell, a reference librarian, held the position of interim director in 2014, before Brookhart was hired. She is also is the director’s assistant in her current role.
The process for hiring a new director has officially began, with the job having already been officially posted.
Brookhart will leave at the end of the month, with Connell taking over on October 1st.
