COLUMBUS – Cabe DeBower knocked in the low score of 74 Thursday, to lead the Discoverers to 6th place in the Hastings Invitational.
DeBower’s 35 on the first nine provided the boost he needed to finish in the top 10, shooting a strong 39 on the last nine. Shane Hess put together a solid performance as well, shooting a 44 on the opening nine, and dropping 6 strokes to mark a 38 on the last nine, to finish with an 82 and a 20th place finish.
Trent Meister shot the next lowest at 94, followed by Zach Paden with a 97 and Zach Ciboron with a 120.
The Discoverers took 6th place out of the 10 teams that competed with a total score of 347.
Regular starter for the Discoverers, Mitchell Kuhlman, did not compete in Thursday’s competition.
