NORFOLK, NE — It was a wild deer chase Monday morning as staff and residents at Heritage of Bel Air witnessed an unusual sight.
Around 8:00 a.m. a deer crashed through the window of a therapy room on the south side of the building.
Administrator of the facility, Katie Frederick says that it took off running down the hall and maintenance workers had to prop a door open and try to get the full-grown doe out.
The deer didn’t appear aggressive according to Frederick who says that the Nebraska Game and Parks was called after the deer got out of the building. She anticipates them checking the deer out for any injuries.
The therapy room was briefly shut off so broken glass could be cleaned up. Frederick expects repairs to be made within a week’s time.
