Dodge County Humane Society is Raising Money for an Abandoned Dog’s Surgery

FREMONT – The Dodge County Humane Society has put together fundraising efforts to cover the medical costs for a dog who was abandoned with a broken leg.

On the morning of September 26th, a Midland University student noticed an abandoned dog on old Highway 275 near the baseball fields. The student stopped to check on the dog, and discovered her leg had been so badly broken that she could hardly stand. The student picked up the dog, named Willow, and brought her to the Dodge County Humane Society.

The humane society took her to Rohrig’s Vet Hospital where they placed a cast on her leg until the medical costs could be raised to cover Willow’s much needed surgery. The Dodge County Humane Society has put together a GoFundMe page to help raise money for Willow’s surgery, and in just a few weeks have come close their goal.
