Dry, Warm Conditions, Raise Fire Threat

BEATRICE –  The National Weather service says unseasonably warm temperatures will combine with low relative humidity of 20 to 25 percent and west winds 10 to 15 MPH with higher gusts up to 25 mph.

Those weather conditions are elevating the fire danger especially in southeast Nebraska.  Forecasters say fires may be difficult to control.

Officials recommend outdoor burning should be restricted to early morning and late evening hours when winds are diminished.
