Fast Moving Band of Snow to Impact Area Tonight

OMAHA – The National Weather Service in Omaha/Valley has issued a Winter Weather Advisory which is in effect from 8 p.m. this evening until noon on Wednesday.

Snow will spread across northeast Nebraska beginning around 8 p.m. with the heaviest snow falling from around 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. Light snow will continue through the early morning hours Wednesday.

Total accumulations are expected to range from 3 to 5 inches.

The Winter Weather Advisory includes the counties of Antelope, Boone, Cedar, Colfax, Knox, Madison, Pierce, Platte, Stanton, and Wayne counties.

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered roads and limited visibilities.
