FREMONT – The Fremont Area Chamber of Commerce will honor and recognize nine local businesses at their 138th Annual Banquet.
The 138th Annual Banquet will be held on February 9th, and at the banquet the Chamber will recognize nine businesses that were named finalist for the organization’s annual awards. Director of Communications and Marketing Hope Pierce says they have three categories for awards.
“We are recognizing our annual business of the year. So that includes our Large Business of the Year, which is a business with 25 or more employees,” said Pierce. “Then we have our Small Business of the Year, which is a business with 25 or less employees. And finally we have the Workforce Game Changer. This is a business that treats their employees really well.”
The finalists for the Large Business of the Year award are Don Peterson & Associates, Waste Connections, and PROMEDCARE. Dugan Funeral Chapel, Premier Staffing, and D&T Shirtified are the finalists for the Small Business of the Year award. And the finalists for the Workforce Game Chamber award are Wiese Plumbing & Excavating, Nye Health Services, and RTG Medical.
Pierce says they hold these awards in order to recognize the achievements and work of their members.
“As many people know, we are a member-based organization. So we are here to serve our members and we are here because of our members,” said Pierce. “Out of our almost 600 members in the Fremont area, everybody is doing great things. And we want to highlight and honor those great things that everyone is doing, and honor their achievements each year.”
The 138th Annual Banquet will be held on Friday, February 9th. Tickets can be purchased by calling (402) 721-2641 or by going online to http://www.fremontne.org.
