Fremont Man Cited on Felony Drug Charges

FREMONT – A Fremont man faces felony and other charges after a traffic stop on Thursday evening in Fremont.

Fremont Police conducted a traffic stop in the 700 block of N. Pierce Street at approximately 10:48 p.m. Thursday with drugs being found inside the vehicle stopped. Investigation concluded and as a result, 48-year old Brian A. Bishop of Fremont was arrested on felony charges of possession of a controlled substance and tampering with physical evidence.

Bishop was also cited for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of an open container of alcohol.

Fremont Police are also investigating a theft from a vehicle that was parked in a driveway early Friday morning.

Officers were called to the 1900 block of N. Pearl Street at approximately 5:24 a.m. Friday in reference to a theft from vehicle complaint. The vehicle was parked in a driveway at that location and a window was broken to gain entry. A purse was stolen from inside the vehicle which contained cash, a checkbook, and other personal items.
