FREMONT – The City of Fremont’s Parks and Recreation Department held their board meeting Tuesday night.
The board approved a request from the Church of the Nazarene to use Ruwe Park for a Community Cook-Out and Color Fight on August 30th, and approved a request to amend the Ridge Cemetery Association to implement Monument/Marker Installation and Maintenance Fee at Ridge Cemetery.
Another request that was approved last night was for Keep Fremont Beautiful Eco-Trek, who requested to use Johnson Park trail and shelter and parking lot at Splash Station on September 9th. This fundraiser will be the first of its kind for the organization, will begin at 9 a.m. and will include kid-friendly activities.
The board also received an update on the MainStreet Fremont Temporary Green Space Project, which is scheduled to begin on September 1st of this year.
The next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, September 5th.
