WAYNE – Dave Olson will be stepping down as the Store Manager position in Wayne as Grossenburg Implement invited community members for Chamber Coffee Friday morning.

Grossenburg Implement hosts Chamber Coffee once a year and incoming Store Manager, current Sales Manager Mark Koch said Dave will still be around.

“He’s going to do some projects, do some part-time stuff for us so he’s still on staff,” said Koch. “And we’re going to keep moving forward.”

In the Wayne location, Grossenburg has right around 30 employees that are mostly full-time. They range from new employees, some between 20-30 years and even a few over 45 years.

With winter being in the in-between season from harvesting to planting, Grossenburg Implement is still busy. The shops are fairly full as combines, sprayers and planters are still being worked on along with new equipment and used equipment being hauled around. Koch added there is some internal training during the winter months.

“Some on sight, some we go different places,” Koch added. “If it’s Minneapolis or we go to Wichita, Kansas or maybe Kansas City; Dubuque and Davenport, Iowa.”

For those who would like to purchase an item or have a question on a part, anybody can help out somehow. Grossenburg is open Monday – Friday from 7:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m., Saturday from 7:30 a.m. until Noon and closed on Sunday. During the busy seasons, there are also after hour parts and services for help.

“Just fortunate we’re in Wayne, Nebraska,” Koch mentioned. “Fortunate to have good people working for us, very good.”

Join the Wayne TeamMates as they host Chamber Coffee on Friday, January 19 from Wayne High School starting at 10 a.m.
