PENDER – Northeast Nebraska’s Huge Craft and Home Show is coming back to Pender for the 14th year, Saturday November 4th at Pender High School. The craft and home showcase is packed with unique crafters, vendors, food and fun.
For just a $1 admission, shoppers can get an early start on holiday shopping. There’s a reason founder and director Maridee Malmberg calls her show “huge” with more vendors and crafters than most small-town shows can bring, and this year, the number of exhibitors is even higher.
“This year differs in this huge number that I have as exhibitors is over double the crafters of the last 13 years alone,” Malmberg said.
The large number of crafters are also joined by commercial vendors from companies like Pampered Chef, to home vendors selling things like fire safety systems and gutters. Malmberg said the show should have something to appeal to everyone. Northeast Nebraska’s Huge Craft and Home Show also features health exhibitors and her husband and sons’ famous “one-day café” that serves French onion soup, French dip sandwiches and carrot cake.
“That isn’t what would draw somebody in, it’s the shopping, but there’s all (these) little bonuses in between,” Malmberg said.
The show will be in Pender High’s new gym from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. and will spill into other areas as there are so many exhibitors. Malmberg encourages the public to see the scope of the 14th annual Northeast Nebraska’s Huge Craft and Home Show to really believe it.
“Once you experience it, you’ll be back every year,” Malmberg said.
