MADISON – The 2018 Madison County Fair looks to be another one for the record books.
Fair officials announced on Tuesday their headliners for the 2018 fair – country artists The Brothers Osborne on Saturday July 14th and Dustin Lynch on Sunday July 15th. It’s the latest in the Fair Board’s near impossible task to top themselves every summer.
“As soon as the Sunday of the fair is over, people ask ‘Who are you getting next year?’” said Madison County Fair Board President Todd Volk. “When we get to the point in January where we can announce it’s great.”
In addition to the country acts, the fair will feature each of its annual staples, including the midway, the FFA events and the Midstates Championship Rodeo on July 11th through the 13th.
One thing that will be different, though, is how fair-goers get tickets.
“We decided to go with Etix this year,” Volk said. “We’ve had numerous people talk to us about it over the years. We’ve been fighting it a bit to stay with what we initially wanted, but we’ve decided to update it. All of our reserve tickets will be online through Etix.”
Tickets will go on sale May 5th. The Madison County Fair will run from July 10th through the 15th.
