Man Arrested for Meth, After Breaking into Vehicle at Body Shop

COLUMBUS – Police jailed a man on meth charges after breaking into a car at a body shop and fleeing the scene.

Columbus Police Captain Todd Thalken says, 45-year-old, Thomas Phillipps, allegedly broke into a vehicle that was being worked on at a local body shop. Phillips then attempted to flee on foot, but was found by police shortly after leaving the scene, on Wednesday.

Syringes and a pipe with residue that tested positive for meth, were found on Phillipps’ person at the time of the arrest.

Phillips’ was jailed and faces charges for possession of meth, possession of drug paraphernalia, and theft.
