COLUMBUS – A man was arrested for strangulation, terroristic threats, and several other charges after a domestic dispute on Thursday.
Columbus Police Captain Todd Thalken says police were called to a residence on the 3100 block of 14th Street at approximately 4:19 p.m. in regards to a domestic dispute between a boyfriend and girlfriend.
Thalken says after police arrived, an investigation resulted in the arrest of an 18-year-old man for 3rd degree domestic assault, strangulation, terroristic threats, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. The 18-year-old was taken to the Platte County Detention Center following the arrest.
CPD says the identity of the man is not yet being released, in an effort to protect the victim.
