Man Arrested in Fremont for Stealing Car in Columbus

COLUMBUS – A 30-year-old man was arrested in Fremont after CPD say he was pulled over in a car that was reported stolen from Columbus.

Columbus Police Captain Todd Thalken says CPD received a report from a Columbus resident regarding their 2000 Chevy Impala being stolen at approximately 7:52 a.m. Thursday morning.

At roughly 10:30 a.m., Nebraska State Patrol pulled over a man driving the vehicle in Fremont, and discovered the vehicle to be the stolen Impala, says Thalken.

Thalken says, this resulted in the arrest of, Frank King, who will now be charged with stealing the vehicle.
