CENTRAL CITY – The Merrick County Sheriff’s office went to Facebook to help welcome a new deputy, native to the area, to the force.
The sheriff’s office says Heartland Lutheran Alum Dylan Dreher, will be Merrick Counties newest Deputy. Dreher spent time at the Nebraska Department of Corrections as a Corporal, Sergeant, and Lieutenant, and served on the Corrections Emergency Response Team, in addition to being a certified field training officer and firearms instructor.
“Deputy Dreher and his wife are excited to move back to the area close to family and serve the Merrick County communities. We are grateful that Deputy Dreher chose to join our team and we are excited to begin the new journey with him,” said the sheriff’s office.
Dreher is set to attend the Nebraska Law Enforcement Training Center this August, says MCSO.
