Multiple Felony Charges for Norfolk Man After Assault

NORFOLK, NE — A Norfolk Man who is accused of choking a woman and pushing her head into a wall is facing multiple felony charges.

At 11:54 p.m., Norfolk Police responded to an assault call at 111 Gold Strike Drive. When Police arrived, the female victim told them that 51-year old Charles Jordan has attacked her.

The victim told police that Jordan had tried to choke her, and had also thrown a glass picture frame at her. While the victim tried to pick up shattered glass, police say Jordan grabbed the victim again and forced her head into the wall.

Jordan was questioned by police and then placed under arrest. While police tried to escort Jordan out of the apartment they say he became uncooperative by body checking officers, making his body become “dead weight” and locking his legs to avoid being put in the police car.

Jordan was arrested for felony strangulation, felony domestic assault, felony assault on a police officer, felony resisting arrest, domestic assault and obstructing a police officer.

He was taken to the Norfolk City Jail and then transported to Madison County Jail.
