BEATRICE – The Beatrice School Board has approved altering the year-end schedule to move the last day for Stoddard and Lincoln Elementary students to May 18th, this Friday.
The move is expected to give teachers and staff more time to move equipment and materials to new classrooms, as the district begins a grade-level elementary system next fall. May 23rd was scheduled to be the final day of school.
Superintendent Pat Nauroth says more than enough instructional hours have been logged, to make the change.

The next school year, Lincoln Elementary will be a kindergarten through second grade school. Stoddard will house third through fifth grades. Paddock Lane will remain a K-through-five building and house the district’s elementary special education services. Cedar School remains the Beatrice Community Preschool.
