NORFOLK – Norfolk Catholic School has a new Director of Spiritual Formation for the 2018-2019 school year.
On Thursday, the school’s administration and staff announced Kevin Manzer will be taking over the position, which was previously called “Campus Minister.”
“I am excited to serve the students, staff and families of Norfolk Catholic School, Parish, Community and walk alongside them in our journey to come and know Jesus Christ and each other,” Manzer said.
Manzer was an athletic director and physical education teacher at St. Joseph’s School in Lincoln. He also was a Social Studies teacher at Tri County High School in DeWitt, NE, as well as a resource teacher at Waverly High School. Manzer coached Boys basketball as Varsity Assistant at DeWitt and Waverly as well as Pius X the last two years.
“I taught SPED, pre-school through 8th, Social Studies to high school students and worked with a diversity of teachers and staff, however the common theme of helping students grow closer to Jesus is what excites me about this opportunity at Norfolk Catholic School,” Manzer said.
The Director of Spiritual Formation will work with the Spirituality Committee, which consists of administration and teachers from both the primary and secondary school, along with the Director of Teen Ministry for the Parish.
