Norfolk Teen Dead After Accident in Knox County

WAUSA, NE — A Norfolk teenager is dead following an accident in Knox County Wednesday afternoon.

The Nebraska State Patrol says 18-year old Sara Hubert was driving westbound on Nebraska Highway 59 about three miles south of Wausa, when she failed to yield at the intersection with Highway 121. The Patrol says a northbound car driven by a 17-year old from Wausa struck Hubert’s car broadside.

Hubert died from injuries sustained in the crash. Officials say she was not wearing her seatbelt.

The State Patrol didn’t specify the condition of the other driver, except to say he survived.

The accident continues to be under investigation.
