PMC Therapy Clinic In Wakefield Hosts Ribbon Cutting, Open House

WAKEFIELD – Providence Medical Center Wakefield Therapy Services hosted a ribbon cutting and open house event Friday morning, welcoming in the community of Wakefield.

With therapy services in Wayne and Laurel, Providence Medical Center (PMC) has expanded their Wakefield location into their own space in the Wakefield Health Care Center.

Located at 308 Ash Street in Wakefield, the clinic offers physical, occupational and speech therapy services.

Physical Therapist, Amy Bowers said the room they are in was converted from what was the Wakefield Physicians Clinic into a therapy clinic.

“So, we’ve taken some walls down so we have an expanded gym space,” said Bowers. “We also have private treatment rooms and then we also have an office area with patient access so you can schedule your appointments here.”

Bowers will be joined alongside fellow Physical Therapist, John Miller, Mandy Heithold (PT Assistant), Wendy Donner (Patient Access Director) and Andrea Blecke (Director of Therapy Department in Wayne) who will offer services at the clinic in Wakefield.

With the move within the Wakefield Health Care, the PMC Wakefield Therapy Services Clinic expanded their space and services with the help of some of the board members.

“Make it into a more usable space,” Bowers added. “A little bit updated space and offer more services to a wider patient load here.”

The clinic is currently seeing patients and you can schedule an appointment with the Providence Medical Center Wakefield Therapy Services Clinic by calling 402-287-1005.
