Public Health Solutions Health District Names New Director

BEATRICE – A Nebraska Department of Education official will become the new Health Director for Public Health Solutions, a health district that covers five southeast Nebraska counties.

Dr. Jacquelyn Miller will take over for the retiring, Jane Ford-Witthoff.

Miller has held the position of Office Director for Vocational Rehabilitation in the Nebraska Department of Education, and is as graduate of the Creighton University College of Dentistry.   She is a Doctor of Dental Surgery.

Miller will be responsible for managing the Public Health Solutions Health District and carrying out the mission of disease prevention, health protection and wellness promotion in the district.  She has over 20 years of executive management experience and more than 8 years of public health experience.

The Public Health Solutions Health District includes Gage, Jefferson, Saline, Fillmore and Thayer Counties.

Miller takes over as Health Director, on November 27th.
