Public Hearing Scheduled For One, Six Year Road Improvement Plan

WAYNE – The Wayne County Board of Commissioners are set to host their regularly scheduled meeting Tuesday morning.

From the County Courthouse meeting room at 9 a.m., Commissioners will look to approve some items under their consent agenda. The 2017 UNL Extension Wayne County Annual Report will be accepted as will a $6,487 dividend from EMC Insurance due to a good claim experience.

After approving Berggren Architects on January 16, the approval of using legal services from Baird Holm LLP will be discussed. Wayne County will use this to apply for and market Nebraska Historic Tax Credits for the courthouse masonry restoration project.

Highway Superintendent, Mark Casey will give his road/bridge project updates as well as talk about the revisions to the Road Use Agreement with Sholes Wind, LLC. The group will also look at the initial review of Road Use Agreement with Plum Creek Wind, LLC.

At 9:45 a.m. is a scheduled public hearing to discuss the one and six-year road improvement plan.

District Court Clerk, Deb Allemann-Dannelly will also give an update on furniture and equipment purchases towards the end of the meeting.
