Sacred Heart Parish To Expand Child Care

NORFOLK, NE — Child care will be expanding at Sacred Heart Parish after receiving approval from the Archdiocese of Omaha.

For years child care has been growing at the parish, according to Marketing and Enrollment Director, Stephanie Chandler. For several years the parish offered after school care for Kindergarten through fourth or fifth grade. In 2014 they started offering pre school age care. Just last year they added year round care.

The expansion will include a 6,720 square foot modular with four classrooms, a kitchen, and commons area. The facility will allow to serve up to 72 children ages 6 weeks to four years.

Chandler says this will be a huge help for families in their parish, and hope to get a permanent structure.

The tentative start date for expanded child care is August 1, just in time for the start of the 2017-2018 school year. Registration will begin July 15.
