Senator Ben Sasse Introduces Greg Ibach to Senate Agriculture Committee

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator from Nebraska, Ben Sasse introduced Greg Ibach to the Senate Agriculture Committee today.

Sasse introduced Ibach before the committee to consider his nomination for Under Secretary for Marketing and Regulatory programs. Ibach has served under three different governors as the Director of Nebraska Department of Agriculture. He also worked to bring junior and seniors from high schools in Nebraska together to learn through the Nebraska Agriculture Youth Institute, which is now a 46-year-old program. Senator Sasse says Ibach has worked and maintained relationships to promote Nebraska agriculture around the world.

“Nebraskans know that our state’s agriculture trade has grown in the global marketplace because of Greg’s efforts to tirelessly promote our commodities. Greg built and maintained stakeholder relationships and initiated strategies to promote Nebraska agriculture domestically and internationally, allowing us to become the breadbasket of the world.”

Senator Sasse adds that Ibach will bring a personal vigor to the USDA, and that he is the man for the job.

“Nobody out-works Nebraska and nobody knows that better than Greg Ibach. Greg has built his whole life on honesty and hustle. He’s the man for the job and Nebraskans couldn’t be prouder of the president’s selection.”
